The Agri Entrepreneur Summit 2016, was scheduled on the 3rd of September at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode, will help open up new vistas for startups, growers, wholesalers, importers, exporters and all other stakeholders of every segment of Agriculture and Farm Machinery, Equipment and allied sectors that want to expand and diversify Agri-based business and activities, there by pushing the Modi-led  Central Government’s agenda of making India self-sufficient in food grain production and increasing farm income.

The one-day Agri-based event was featured eminent speakers including noted Social activist Piyush Manush, Karthic Ravindranath of Gold Farm, Prabhu Shankar of Thanyas Organic Pvt. Ltd, Sathyamoorthy of Animal Welfare Association, Ajeethan of Tamil Nadu Banana Growers Association, S.P. Rajakumaran of Mobitech, Mahindra M Manivasan of V Farm Plant Sciences (P) Ltd and C.D. Kumar participating in panel discussions on Agri-tech related topics, and several startup mentors and a VC from Omnivore.

In addition, the event showcased business presentation and pitches by selected Startups of the region including Bison, Rainbow Agri, Exabit, Happy Hens, Gold Farm, Eco farm, et al. The event has also roped in several event partners: Kongu Engineering College, TNAU, Doordarshan, Makkal TV, YourStory.com, Media 4 Agri, Simplicity.com, PayperCreative.com and By The Startups.
